Shila was created out of a constant desire to be surrounded by beauty, design, innovation, and true hospitality. The airy 6-suite residence from the 1920s is reminiscent of a "hotel particulier" with a flare for whimsy, mystique, and a deep sense of tranquility.
Shila is strategically located in the trendy Kolonaki neighborhood, just minutes from downtown Athens, on a calm pedestrianized street. Its unique setting conveys a sense of isolated luxury and indulgence away from the frantic pace of daily life. Kolonaki is one of Athens' most active neighborhoods, and it has become a destination for locals seeking the best in fashion, art, and delicious cuisine.
Shila has been developed "on the go," with an inspiring blend of ancient Greek inspirations and modern industrial design, as well as urban and natural materials. The creatives envisioned a captivating and beautiful space, in which guests felt truly welcomed and interested, with a strong desire to return, by drawing references from all sorts of fragments, such as art, architecture, photography, memories, travels, and the imperfect charms of Athens.
