La Bionda
Nestled in the middle of Begur town and a stone throw’s away from the most awe inspiring calas of the Costa Brava, lies the refined and ultra-cool new hotel La Bionda. The building, originally from the XVII century, was beautifully reimagined and redesigned by Quintana Partners and owner Carla Lloveras.
The 8 room hotel feels like home. In fact, it was designed based on Carla’s dream house. A true little hideaway for those who want a slow travel experience in a chic, detail-driven space. Downstairs, a curated library and an open-air roof deck bar and lounge space, a dream if you are WFH. Just like your own house, rooms come with a Marshall speaker where you can play La Bionda’s famous playlists, the most beautiful (and sustainable!) amenities by Grown Alchemist , and your own beach towel and basket for exploring the coast.
Hang out in your room or on the hotel’s sun-drenched terrace, where they host yoga or cooking classes. La Bionda’s ideal location allows for a quick drive to the most beautiful calas of the area, or a busy night eating out in town. After a day of exploring, return to a haven of peace and quiet in your room and enjoy a glass of wine in the bathtub.
La Bionda tells the story of a woman that, during the 1930’s, hosted inspiring women at home. From writers, actresses, singers and artists, each room is named in honor of these women. To me, Carla felt like one of them: powerful, kind, and the perfect hostess that will always greet you with a big smile and open heart.
