La Malcontenta
Sensitive to art, owners Pierre-Alexandre and Sol Lacarelle were moved by the Moroccan light, its untidy gracefulness that creates a certain sense of poetry in the midst of chaos. Just there, where everything seems to have been forsaken, is where you can encounter its purest and brittle beauty. After six years of living in Morocco, the idea of building a house in Essaouira was born. “La Malcontenta is the result of a path that we have both been following. A space where our dreams met our inspirations, at a time of our life where we feel more accomplished and steady.”
The house is located on an over 1 hectare piece of land, entirely renovated by Aire au Carré, built for the traveler that will appreciate its raw beauty, the noble materials used, the purity of its soul as well as Pierre and Sol’s love for this special place.
A country house, up on a hill, overlooking the sea, one of the best spots for a memorable sunset, as if the sun was all for yourselves. A seasonal cooking is offered by Fatima, who looks after the house for you during your stay and will be preparing traditional moroccan meals.
