The concept of “slow living” is already a reality in Pantelleria. The rough land does not allow any machinery there. Hundreds of small independent farmers produce their own wine. As the typology of the land is certainly not linear each location of the island offers its own conditions for the crops , which result in very different flavours. Pantelleria is a volcanic, windy and dry island located in the canal of Sicily closer to Africa than her motherland. Strategically located in the Mediterranean Sea, five thousand years of colonization have shaped the history and culture of this remote island.
