Sterrekopje
Nestled in the foothills of the Franschhoek mountains is Sterrekopje, a farm rich in biodiversity and a haven for rejuvenation, creativity, and leisure. The luxurious farmhouse, rooted in ancestral wisdom and a conscious way of living, is dedicated to restoring the body, mind, and soul.
Sterrekopje offers a journey of transformative rest and creative expression that satisfies the human need to connect with nature. The farm boasts a family of holistic practitioners who are ready to guide guests on a journey of profound connection and deep serenity.
With 11 sanctuaries and suites scattered throughout the property, each with its own distinct character, Sterrekopje is carefully curated to promote restorative healing and inspire creativity.
The Rejuvenating Suites are grand retreats for rest and rejuvenation with outdoor soaking tubs, spa-like bathrooms, and restored architectural elements from around the world. The Abundant Sanctuaries offer more spacious accommodations, with private terraces and living areas, allowing for ultimate relaxation and contemplation. The Intimate Sanctuaries in the historic Main House provide cozy fireplaces, deep soaking tubs, and private terraces overlooking the gardens, where guests can relax and enjoy the sounds of nature.
The farmhouse is adorned with eclectic and refined design elements, blending seamlessly with natural materials and earthy colors, connecting the interior and exterior. There are many secret nooks and sun-drenched crannies to discover, including the Chakra Garden, where guests can wander through paths curated to reflect the body's chakras, inhaling the fragrant air and connecting with their inner selves.
Best time to visit
Each of Franschhoek’s seasons has its charm, with the most temperate weather being October through May, while June & July are ideal months to visit in combination with an African safari. We highly recommend Sterrekopje as the final stop of regeneration and rest on any journey.
How to get there
By car, Sterrekopje Farm is located an hour from Cape Town and its airport, and less than 5 minutes from Franschhoek city centre. International guests typically fly directly into Cape Town airport, or travel by car as part of a wider roadtrip across the Western Cape.
