So we asked Net-a-Porter’s ever-chic Global Buying Director, Elizabeth von der Goltz to share her highlights from the trip and her favorite spots in this majestic corner of Greece exclusively for Hotel Weekend. 

  Best hotel?

The Amanzoe resort – it’s one of the most spectacular places I’ve ever stayed in. 

 Best brunch spot?

Sinitsa Taverna tis Giagias, in Porto Heli – it’s an open space right on the water. It’s easy to spend your whole afternoon there. 

Best beach party?

Nikki Beach, of course.  

Best beach?

There are so many in the area, but the beach club at Amanzoe is covered in white soft sand and has a beautiful, long tiled pool. There are also plenty of fun water sports like paddle boarding and kayaking you can do straight from it. 

 Best neighborhood or street to explore if you need a break from the beach?

Hydra, it’s a short boat ride away, and you can visit the Deste Foundation and walk through the cute little stores in town. Ileana Makri has a great store on the port!

Best local food spot?

Tarsanas Taverna, on the water – great food and ambience. 

Best shops?

The charming old town shops in Spetses – they’re good to browse before dinner.

Best place to take in the sunset?

The Beach club at Amanzoe – the sunset is stunning, the sky changes so many colors it’s almost unbelievable. 

Best dinner spot to dress up for?

Water of Love (Nero tis Agapis) in Spetses or the amazing Japanese restaurant at the Amanzoe, Nama. 

Best dinner spot to dress down for?

Kaiki beach, in Spetses.
