Kitoki Inn
Located on beautiful Bowen Island, a 20-minute ferry ride from West Vancouver’s Horseshoe Bay ferry terminal, Kitoki is an ideal destination for guests seeking a restorative retreat that’s easily accessible from the city. The dreamy hideaway is situated on a private three-acre property next to parkland and trails and within walking distance from Snug Cove, Bowen’s town centre.
The three guest cabins and Japanese bathhouse reflect and complement the natural surroundings. The self-contained cedar cabins feature floor-to-ceiling windows that allow unobstructed views of the forest, while the bathhouse reimagines the traditional Japanese onsen (outdoor hot spring) to provide a rejuvenating spa experience.
“Our vision for Kitoki is to create an experience that is a true getaway from everyday life,” says owner-operator Mitsumi Kawai, who runs the inn with her husband Rob Leadley. Their aim for Kitoki is to create an environment that encourages guests to shed any worry and fully immerse themselves in the calm of nature.
From design to decor to service, Kitoki embraces the local and the sustainable. Kitoki guests will enjoy organic bath and skincare products from Bowen-based luxury brand Sangre de Fruta, coffee from Vancouver roastery Modus, and comfy, eco-friendly bedding from Takasa Lifestyle Company.
