Hotel Brummell
A space created by Blankslate, the creators of the Federal Café, together with the Australian duo Crick King and Tommy Tang and the architect Inma Rabano. Only 20 rooms divided into 5 floors, a large and cozy terrace, a pleasant swimming pool and one of the most avant-garde restaurants in the city: The Box Social.
The Poble Sec neighborhood in Barcelona is still one of those places in the city that retains a special charm. Its popular character mixed with fashionable leisure areas, craft shops and creative spaces makes it a magical neighbourhood. For these reasons, 4 years ago, in 2015, Mr. Christian Schallert decided to open a particular hotel, in which a new concept of hotel establishment stands out, a casual luxury, full of soul and style, the Hotel Brummell.
The original facade of the building is from 1870, and both the architect in charge of the rehabilitation, Inma Rábano, and decorators agreed to keep it, although the interior was completely transformed.
The mixture of antiques with custom-made furniture and the personal touch of the designers create a truly harmonious, simple and functional environment.
At Brummel contemporary furnishings and colors are combined with European and Sri Lankan antiques. In the rooms, original works by different local artists. In the patio, with tropical plants and objects made of pure materials. Here we want not only to sleep: we also want to take a dip in its beautiful, urban, pool; have brunch in its restaurant or a drink on the terrace at sunset; having breakfast and dipping a croissant in the coffee, while lying down in the patio, reading all day.
Location: Barcelona, Catalunya, Spain
Designed by Inma Rábano, and the Australian born and Barcelona based duo, Blankslate.
