Santa Monica Proper Hotel
When you walk into the Santa Monica Proper Hotel you can almost feel the ocean breeze caressing your cheeks. This is the feeling that Kelly Wearstler wanted to awaken in everyone who walked through the doors of this new hideaway, located just a short walk from the beach in Santa Monica, California. Inspired by the city and its coastline, Kelly has decorated the 271 rooms and suites using a chromatic palette in earth tones and combining a multitude of textures, mostly organic and materials as luxurious as natural, highlighting the warm wood off the ground that sometimes creates whimsical patterns.
The sensory experience that Kelly has created with the interior design is completed with the wonderful gastronomic offer. On the one hand, Onda, the hotel restaurant, with a menu that merges Californian and Mexican flavors, by chefs Jessica Koslow and Gabriela Camara. On the other, Palma, a perfect place for a snack in the lobby, and Calabra, the rooftop bistro with ocean views, a mix of Mediterranean and East Coast cuisine. It also has a spa, a yoga terrace and a fitness center.
