The Sunseeker

Book now

An 80’s brick motel reimagined for the modern traveler, The Sunseeker is one of Byron Bay’s most well-considered boutique experiences. In collaboration with local and surrounding Byron talent, owners Jess and Dave Frid wanted to create a meaningful space, dedicated to supporting music, art, food and culture.

Through conscious design; this sentiment has not gone unnoticed. The motel conveys a laid-back, yet a perfectly curated place of retreat. Your very own oasis. Find nooks of retro kitsch charm, an outdoor tiki bar, original kidney-shaped mineral pool, and 80s brick facade.

Sustainability was a driving force when it came to renewing the motel. Recycled timber is used throughout and you can’t miss the unique ‘crazy pave’ entryway, which is made up of repurposed tiles from the old hotel rooms.

The newly risen motel leaves you feeling nostalgic for memories you never knew you missed. Whilst this has a lot to do with the aesthetics, it has as much to do with the overall sense of belonging and community. Where families and children are welcomed. Where your body and mind are free to wander and explore.

Start your day with a coffee and pastry from the on-site coffee cart, make your way to the library, and get lost in the hand-picked books from Good Publishings, and don’t forget to tune in and enjoy the background hum of ‘Sounds of Sunseeker’ tunes. Time stands still at The Sunseeker…
